Yesterday our little family did some shopping! We went to Toy’s R US to get a new car seat and some things to baby prof our son’s room because he is now big enough to play in there.
Typically when we go shopping we leave with twice as much as we went for but yesterday we did really well! Only left with two things that weren’t planned on. One was a late birthday gift for one of our son’s little friends and the other was new bath toys, it was almost over due to replace them.
We got a baby gate to keep the little guy out of our room.
We picked up some latches to keep his dresser draws shut and straps to secure his diaper stand to the wall.
Now our son’s new car seat was something we spent weeks looking for. We had to find one that would fit in to both our little Mazda cars. We ended up picking the NextFit by Chicco for many reasons but the one plus it had that others didn’t was a review boyfriend and I found a very helpful, by a man saying it fit perfectly into his Mazdaspeed 3, which is the exact car my boyfriend has. This also meant it would fit into my mildly bigger in length, Mazda Protege 5. That wasn’t the main reason we got it but was a plus.
Some of the other features on the car seat that were underlining factors on purchase include:
Rear facing to 40lbs because the longer your child is facing backwards the safer they are, at least that’s what the experts say.
The super clinch latches located on the sides of the car seat that connect to the anchor located in crease in the seat of the car.
Easy harness adjustment strap, adjustable head rest and the sholder pads on the harness, so we don’t have to worry about abrasion from it being too tight.
There was one thing we didn’t realize until we brought it home. Its has a cup holder that can be attached to either side of the car seat.
These are some of the reasons why we decided to purchase this car seat, keep an eye out for a review and my thought of car seat after a few months of use.
That’s about all I have time for today but I hope you all will be back tomorrow and I’d love you hear from you. Questions, comments or ideas.
